This is a fantastic, small cutting board, ideal for quick chopping tasks. With two young kids, I often find myself needing to chop small amounts of food, and this board is perfect for that. It’s slightly larger than a paperback novel and about 1/4 inch thick. The bottom is equipped with little rubber feet, ensuring it doesn’t slip during use, which is crucial given its compact size to avoid any accidental cuts. Although you can’t use the back for cutting, its small size and affordable price make it easy to store multiple boards without taking up much space in the dishwasher or cabinet. The manufacturer states it’s made from BPA-free polypropylene, which is reassuring. While the plastic is a bit soft and tends to scar easily from knife use, it’s not a significant issue given the low cost, making it easy to replace regularly to maintain hygiene and reduce the risk of bacteria build-up.

For long-term use, I have found nothing better than these bands. After years of rigorous use, not a single one has failed me. Although I don’t use them for cooking, their performance in other harsh conditions is impressive. Yes, they are pricier than ordinary rubber bands, but they can be reused repeatedly without losing elasticity or breaking. I use both the smaller sizes and the jumbo 1/2 inch wide bands, and they all perform consistently well. If you need reliability and excellent performance, these bands are the best choice

I rated these cups a 3 for a few reasons. First, the product description claimed they were made in the USA, but the attached card says, “Designed in the USA, location of recycling stream: China,” which was misleading and cost them one star. The second star was lost because the blue 1-cup size was poorly mixed in color, and the cups are bulky and heavy. Additionally, as another reviewer mentioned, they won’t stand up on their own when filled, which I initially thought wouldn’t be an issue but turned out to be problematic. I regret not opting for stainless steel. These cups remind me of the cheaply made products from China we used to get in the 60s.

The wood surface is gentler on your knives compared to plastic or glass, and cleaning is a breeze with a scratch-resistant sponge and paper towel. Given that wood is somewhat porous, it’s essential to dry the board thoroughly before storing it. For longevity, avoid soaking it in the sink; instead, rest it behind the kitchen faucet to drain and dry. Additionally, never place it in the dishwasher to maintain its durability over the years.
